Hi, I'm at Etrailer and today we're talking about our wiper technologies, wiper blades with J Hooks on our 2019 Newmar based aire . That's gonna be a great option for you if you're looking for something that's just gonna clear off your windshield a lot easier. And these are actually gonna be able to contour to a windshield, even if it's kind of curved too. So let's check 'em out. So it's important to change out your wiper blades every now and then. It's something that you're gonna have to do at some point and it's a lot easier if you can just do it yourself.

Now the reason why we want to change 'em out every now and then is, as you can see, our windshield right now is looking kind of dirty and we have plenty of streaks and that's because, the old wipers we have are really starting to fall apart. We got some of it fraying off or coming off on the sides. While the new ones we have, the way they're designed is they're gonna be able to apply pressure evenly throughout the whole wiper. So you won't get any more of these streaks and like I was talking about this will be able to accommodate windshields that have a lot of curvature to 'em. Now, we actually don't have very much, it's relatively pretty flat, so we're still gonna be good in that respect.

Let's take a closer look at the blade itself and that rubber blade is actually gonna have this graphite infused into it. So what that's gonna do is a couple things. Like I said, this whole system is supposed to reduce a lot of streaking from occurring and it's also gonna help it be a lot more quiet. So it's not constantly making noise when you're using them. As for actually putting 'em on your RV, it's gonna be the same process as when you put it on your own car.

All we have to do is come over here to the arm, lift up on it, and I like to have a good hand on it, 'cause we don't want that to swing back and hit the windshield and damaged anything. And now I'm gonna just turn the blade itself until it's perpendicular with the arm and push on it. Now sometimes that can be a little bit tricky. You wanna have a tab here sometimes too, you press down on that or release it. If you ever replace this in a hot minute, then it can be kind of tricky to get off.

But with it off, I'm just gonna slowly and lightly let this down and grab my new blade. Once we got our wiper in hand, we're just gonna grab that green seal. I'm just gonna throw it off to the side. We won't need it anymore. And when we're placing this on top of our wiper or the arm, we wanna make sure that that rounded area of this piece of the center is facing towards the rubber piece. Once it is, we wanna come back over to the arm, pull it out. And the way we wanna do this is, we're gonna push the hook into this channel. You'll notice they'll probably make contact with the rubber area, like to lift mine down. And we're gonna push against it, lining that channel up. It should click in place and once it does, we'll just rotate this back and push it down. And that's pretty much it for installing them.
